When is the best time to climb?
The best time to climb is when it doesn't rain. Raining season starts around the end of the year and lasts till late february.

Do we need a permit to climb the mountain?
Yes a permit is required to climb the Mountain. At the time of this writing it cost a maximum of RM50/person. You can obtain the permit from the Park's Office. A guide is also compulsory. The price for guiding is per group and ranges from RM30 to RM35 per day depending on the size of the group. Porters are also available from around RM30 per day. You can make all reservations from the Park Office.

How long does the climb take?
The standard trail/climb takes 2 days 1 night to climb. On day 1 around 7/8am you start at the base near a power station at 6,122ft. You can normally reach Panar Laban at 10,735ft around noon time. This is where you will rest for the rest of the day. The next part of the climb will start around 3am(yes 3AM) next morning. Depending on the individual, you should be able to reach the summit for the sunrise.
